Marcilla Good Origin wins 'Taste of the Year 2010' award

We are pleased to announce that Marcilla's Good Origin 100% sustainable coffee has been awarded the prestigious 'Sabor del Año' (or 'Taste of the Year') award 2010.
Sabor del Año has been running for 16 years in France and was introduced in Spain three years ago. Already, the seal is recognized by over 80% of Spanish consumers as having a positive effect on a product. Products are subjected to a rigorous process of evaluation divided into three parts: evaluation by a group of chefs, blind tasting by consumers and a sensorial analysis.
Special congratulation to Marcilla as 2010 is the first year that the award is presented outside of the retail category!
Good Origin was launched in the Spanish market more than two years ago and has been reaping the rewards since then. The high quality coffee is 100% arabica and has been chosen, among others, by Meliá to be served in all its hotels.
"This award recognizes Marcilla for its great efforts in sustainable coffee, showing that sustainability and quality go hand in hand. It also provides an added incentive for Marcilla to grow in the future as a key supplier of sustainable coffee," commented Marcilla.
